The Oxford Half will be returning this year on Sunday 16 October 2022. We’ll be celebrating old traditions and new ways of moving with music, games and more!
On race day, there will be some changes to usual traffic routes for a limited period of time in Oxford. We’ve planned this event with every effort to minimise the disruption due to road closures, while ensuring a safe event route for the public and participants. We are working closely with Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council, public transport providers and the emergency services in consideration of the route.
The 2022 race route is the same as in 2021 - the start line remains on Broad Street, with the finish line on Parks Road. Roads will close at 08:00 and re-open from 11:00 once all runners have passed by and as soon as it is safe to do so. All roads will reopen by 14:30, with the exception of Broad Street and Parks Road which will reopen at 18:00. The full list of roads to be closed can be found on the reverse of this letter.
We are very grateful for the support of the local community and hope this advance notice helps with your planning around the road closures. We appreciate your understanding
for any inconvenience you may experience due to these restrictions. If you would like to discuss further, please get in touch by emailing hello@oxfordhalf.com
